In line with this vision, we were thrilled to collaborate with the Cosmonerds Astronomy Club for an incredible educational event at Fatima Convent Senior Secondary School in Rangia, Assam.

Igniting Young Minds with the Magic of Astronomy

The event was born from a chance connection on social media, where the enthusiastic members of Cosmonerds Astronomy Club shared their vision of promoting astronomy among school children. Together, we aimed to inspire the next generation of stargazers, scientists, and space explorers.

An Evening Under the Stars

The highlight of the event was the breathtaking night sky observation session. Armed with telescopes, the Cosmonerds team showcased the majestic Jupiter, shining brilliantly in the evening sky. The students were mesmerized by the sight of its moons and the detailed view of the gas giant.

But the cosmic adventure didn’t stop there! The kids also observed other bright objects, including stars and constellations, sparking endless questions and wonder. It was a magical evening, bringing the universe closer to young minds.

Learning Beyond the Sky

In addition to the night sky observations, the event featured an educational lecture covering fascinating topics such as:

• Astronomy and Space Exploration – Expanding minds beyond Earth.
• Black Holes – Unveiling the mysteries of the universe’s most enigmatic objects.
• Stars and Their Evolution – Understanding the life cycle of stars, from birth to supernova.

Cosmic Fashion Meets Education

Making the event even more special, the Cosmonerds team wore astronomy-themed T-shirts and hoodies from WearTheCosmos.in. It was thrilling to see our apparel in action, resonating with the passion and curiosity of the community.

Exciting Quiz and Prizes

To engage the students further, the team conducted an astronomy quiz filled with fun and thought-provoking questions. The excitement was palpable as the kids eagerly participated, showcasing their growing knowledge and curiosity.
